3 years
Yesterday marked the 3rd year that I have worked in the same organization. It’s almost difficult to believe it has been this long but it is!
Amongst many other things, let’s just say it’s been quite an experience working here. Ups and downs, good and bad… – working is always a melting pot of many factors and we always hope to have more positive ones in the mix.
Next week is the final week of work for the year.
Planning for 2010… 
JLPT 4
I took the JLPT 4 test yesterday at SMU and this must be the least prepared test that I’ve self-registered for. I wanted to revise during my holidays in Japan but as it turned out (as expected, actually), I didn’t have much time to study because I was tired from the day we spent outside.
Somewhere within myself, I think I must have given up on trying to study for the test properly. I got back to Singapore on Wed night and so it means I actually had some time on Thu, Fri, Sat to study. But I just felt so tired and lazy to revise anything at all! 
On the day of the test, I wanted to wake up early to cram some grammar + vocabulary into my head but I simply refused to get out of my bed. Basically, I was waking + sleeping since 5am. When I woke up, I even contemplated not taking the test but that was too stupid a thing to do since I had already paid for it. Also, I knew that passing is a possibility since I had been taking lessons continuously for the past year and was not detached from the language.
By the time I woke up, it was 9:15am and my test was at 10am! I hurried out of my house within 10mins to get a cab to SMU. Luckily, I arrived in time and was not denied from taking the test.
About the test…
Section 1 of the test was ok,
Section 2 (i.e. listening) was a hit-or-miss since the recording was only played once. I was quite surprised it was not repeated since in the DELF exam, it was repeated. I’ve got to say that Japanese listening is much easier than French though.
Section 3 was rather tough since I forgot quite a lot of grammar points needed to answer the questions correctly.
Generally, the time for each section was hardly enough. My answer to the last question was hastily shaded in when the invigilators called for time. I don’t know if I was very slow or the other candidates were at the same pace too.
For those questions that I managed to interpret completely and choose the correct answer, the answer was very obvious. So, I think for those questions where I hazarded the answers, the wrong option must have been a very ridiculous one. :S
The results will be out by end of March 2010.
I’m irked with myself because my initial intention of taking tests is always to not just pass them but to take the opportunity to ensure that I really studied and achieved that particular level. However, be it for French or Japanese, I always end up trying to just pass it and get the certificate. *sigh*

animals, and more animals…
We went to the zoo over the weekend for a photography trip to play with the Canon 500D! And now, I feel that the pictures taken by my Ixus 860IS is so inferior!
We are still trying to figure out how to take good shots… hope we will have nice pictures from our Japan trip!
I can’t remember the last time I went to the singapore zoo. Anyway, it was great that we had cool weather that day!
There were (too) many primates…and I am disappointed with the on-going construction in place of giraffes. Had to make-do with the plush toy at the store – was not supposed to snap inside the store but we were informed after we took some. 
And, in my memories the animal shows at the zoo were fantastic but the 2 shows that we caught were not very exciting. Probably the lack of “marvel at anything and everything” that we once had as kids…

Mayday DNA
I’m back from Mayday’s concert! I’m so happy…now still on concert high, haha.
五月天！！！！
It was a longer concert than usual, started at 8:40pm till about 12:15am! I don’t think it is a special session for today that it lasted longer, although that’s how it marketed. I believe tomorrow’s session would be the same?
Mayday is still THE BEST…their music, lyrics, personalities!
