Japan Trip: Day 8, part 1 (21 Nov 2009)
Once the capital of Japan, Kyoto is a city where modern meets traditional. It was late autumn and the foliage was so pretty.
We reached Arashiyama at about 8+am when it was not yet overrun by visitors. It was such a contrast from the crowd that we encountered near midday.
The temple that we visited here is Tenryuji Temple. It is one of the 5 Great Zen Temples of Kyoto and is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
