Here’s a summary linking up all the posts related to our 18-day Japan trip in November 2009.
The posts with asterisks was updated with some videos after it was first published. Do go see!
Our 2nd visit to Yokohama and yay, it’s a clear day unlike the previous time!
This is Japan’s largest Chinatown and the streets are lined with Chinese restaurants, bakeries and shops selling Chinese products.
Actually, I don’t have much interest in the Chinatowns of other cities, since everything (products, food, sounds, smells, etc.) is pretty much the same as what I am accustomed to. I guess it would be a different story if I’m living there because it may be the only place where I can buy asian stuff?

After wandering through the streets of Chinatown, we headed to Yamate area to visit some preserved western buildings, most of which are former residences and open to the public for free.
We spent some time trying to find out how to walk there and it was a long 45minutes walk~~ If I remembered correctly, there were some stairs to climb and the path was uphill. *tiring*
Upcoming posts will be on the buildings that we visited. We reached at about 3:15pm and were trying to visit as many buildings as possible before they close at 5pm! Well, there were a few buildings that were booked for events and closed to visitors.
